PMS database services for
Database building, data entry, audits and migration, from the equipment makers' own manuals and delivered in the ABS NSE import format.
Overview
NS Enterprise, now sold as Nautical Systems by ABS Wavesight, is a fleet management and marine ERP suite that grew out of ABS Nautical Systems in Houston. Its Maintenance Manager plans and records shipboard maintenance.
Origin and history
Nautical Systems developed fleet management software as a division of ABS, based in Houston. In 2011 its NS5 Enterprise suite was presented as the product of a 25-year evolution, with earlier NS versions in use on an estimated 3,000 to 4,000 ships.
The NS5 suite was later renamed NS Enterprise across all versions; version 6.4 added remote vessel installation, serialised items and a cloud deployment option. NS Core, a streamlined edition for workboats, followed in 2015.
In November 2022 ABS combined Nautical Systems and My Digital Fleet into a new software-as-a-service company, ABS Wavesight. A 2023 update added adaptive scheduling, permit tracking and compliance features for SIRE 2.0, mooring rules and emissions reporting.
Features
What we deliver
Maintenance jobs prepared in the NSE job import workbook, one row per job, with job type, calendar interval and a structured job description (task, safety precautions, procedure and the maker manual reference), together with the equipment structure the jobs attach to. We also audit existing NSE data and prepare it for migration.
Content taken from the makers' manuals, with the source cited in each job.
One equipment hierarchy and job standard across your fleet, whatever the software.
A check of every job against its source before delivery.
Nothing invented to fill gaps: missing documentation is reported, not guessed.

FAQ
No. Norsetech Group is an independent service provider. We do not sell ABS NSE; we build, audit and migrate the data that goes into it, in the format ABS NSE imports.
No. We work from exports and from the ABS NSE import template, so your live system is not touched.
The maker instruction manuals and parts lists for the vessel's equipment, the equipment list, and your ABS NSE import template or an export of your current data. Where manuals are missing we tell you which equipment is affected rather than filling the gap with generic jobs.
Yes. We extract and clean the data from the current system, map it to the new platform's structure and deliver it in the new platform's import format, with the history carried across.
