PMS database services for
Database building, data entry, audits and migration, from the equipment makers' own manuals and delivered in the BASSnet import format.
Overview
BASSnet is a fleet management system from BASS Software, a company of Norwegian heritage, covering maintenance, purchasing, HSEQ, crewing and finance. Its current cloud-native generation is called BASSnet Neo.
Origin and history
BASS developed BASSnet as a suite of fleet management systems on Microsoft .NET. Version 2.7 launched in 2011 and version 2.10 in 2018, adding enhancements across the technical and procurement modules.
In January 2025 BASS launched BASSnet Web 3.0, and in September 2025 it renamed the web solution BASSnet Neo, a cloud-native platform. BASS also offers Neo as a fully managed SaaS service, in which it takes responsibility for running the system.
BASSnet holds DNV type approval as a fleet management system, most recently for BASSnet Neo versions 3.x and 4.x. Publicly reported users include Wilhelmsen Ship Management, Hapag-Lloyd and BW LNG.

What we deliver
Vessel PMS databases prepared for the BASSnet import templates, review and correction of existing BASSnet maintenance data, and migration of data from other systems into BASSnet.
Content taken from the makers' manuals, with the source cited in each job.
One equipment hierarchy and job standard across your fleet, whatever the software.
A check of every job against its source before delivery.
Nothing invented to fill gaps: missing documentation is reported, not guessed.

FAQ
No. Norsetech Group is an independent service provider. We do not sell BASSnet; we build, audit and migrate the data that goes into it, in the format BASSnet imports.
No. We work from exports and from the BASSnet import template, so your live system is not touched.
The maker instruction manuals and parts lists for the vessel's equipment, the equipment list, and your BASSnet import template or an export of your current data. Where manuals are missing we tell you which equipment is affected rather than filling the gap with generic jobs.
Yes. We extract and clean the data from the current system, map it to the new platform's structure and deliver it in the new platform's import format, with the history carried across.
