Origin and history

How CFM got here.

Hanseaticsoft was founded in Hamburg in 2009 by Alexander Buchmann to build ship management software that runs in the browser rather than on local servers. In April 2017 Lloyd's Register made a significant investment in the company, which has since been part of the Lloyd's Register group.

CFM Maintenance, a cloud-based planned maintenance module, was introduced in February 2018. The suite grew from more than 25 applications in 2018 to close to 40 business apps by 2021. In 2023 Lloyd's Register brought its digital products together under the OneOcean brand.

Publicly reported users include Peter Döhle, NSC Holding, Atlantic Lloyd and OSM Maritime Group.

What we deliver

Your CFM data, built from the source.

FAQ

Questions about CFM work.

Are you a reseller or partner of CFM?

No. Norsetech Group is an independent service provider. We do not sell CFM; we build, audit and migrate the data that goes into it, in the format CFM imports.

Do you need a login to our CFM system?

No. We work from exports and from the CFM import template, so your live system is not touched.

What do you need from us to start?

The maker instruction manuals and parts lists for the vessel's equipment, the equipment list, and your CFM import template or an export of your current data. Where manuals are missing we tell you which equipment is affected rather than filling the gap with generic jobs.

Can you move our data from another PMS into CFM, or out of it?

Yes. We extract and clean the data from the current system, map it to the new platform's structure and deliver it in the new platform's import format, with the history carried across.

Working in CFM?

Send us the equipment list and your CFM import template. We reply with a scope for the work.
